Named after a rescued one-eyed pug, Webster has gained much attention from
the press and young Hollywood. This spring, Lucky magazine will be honoring
Webster designer, Alexia Landeau with an exclusive party to celebrate her
Spring 08 Collection as it hits stores. The event will be covered by W
and Angeleno, as well as local news and radio stations, with a red
carpet guest list to match--sounds like the hot summer ticket to us.
Landeau was born and raised in Paris, and interned at Christian Dior in 1988.
After earning a degree in English and Philosophy, she studied acting in New
York and worked for designer Marie-Anne Oudejans. Landeau's own line started
in LA when Landeau had downtime from acting gigs. She made a single shirt
based on a schoolgirl’s uniform, and it caused such a stir that she decided
to continue designing. The shirt was featured in Lucky and Teen
Vogue. We adore the dresses and tops with a bohemian touch, and semiprecious
heirloom style.
