Crispin & Basilio
Described by Nylon as a young talent who is changing the face of L.A. fashion, Donny Barrios started off as a menswear designer. Barrios’ new line Crispin & Basilio is just for women; only fabrics like glen plaids and black-and-white pinstripes have been borrowed from the boys. Named after characters in an 1887 Filipino novel, Crispin & Basilio designs are resolutely feminine in shape but never too frilly, more intelligentsia than glitz. This Gen Art Fresh Faces of Fashion award recipient has been featured in Lucky, WWD and Nylon.
